This handmade Shiraz tribal rug, measuring 3 x 7 feet, is a striking example of southern Iranian nomadic weaving. Its central diamond medallions, set against a deep blue field filled with tiny rosettes, reflect the Qashqai and Luri tribal influence known for bold geometry and symbolic design.
The rug is crafted with hand-spun wool pile on a wool foundation, showcasing earthy tones of brick red, ivory, indigo, and ochre framed by narrow geometric borders. Woven between the 1970s and 1980s, it’s a beautiful statement piece ideal for use in entryways, bedrooms, reading corners, or as a character-rich accent in eclectic or rustic interiors.
